Goodbye, 2018. Hello, 2019.
As you can see if you follow along on Instagram, a lot as changed since I last posted on here. It’s been a whirlwind of a couple months, and I can’t even believe we are nearing the end of 2018.
I work Christmas literally 365 days a year. So when Christmas comes and goes each year, I definitely feel the end of a year has approached and a new one is coming.
2018 brought many highs and lows, but I want to highlight the good it brought.
After years of talking about it, I finally (kind of) started his blog. Yes, the posting has been nothing short of consistent, but I finally got over my anxiety about it and just started.
I paired down my wardrobe. Which is HUGE and still a work in progress. I’m not exactly where I want to be with my wardrobe, but I’m excited I finally did something instead of just talk about it. And I know Kris feels the same. HA.
I discovered brands doing good things, and I even got to partner with some of them!
I met some of the coolest girls I could ask for. Who knew instagram would bring me a group of girlfriends I talk to 24/7, and even had the balls to meet up with halfway across the country!? We’ve had our disagreements but we are always there for each other. And I adore hearing their side of things. Even when I am being stubborn. (sorry guys)
We moved. Again. But this time it was to a place we both adore and a place we want to make feel like home. And I’m happy because it has reignited my love of home decor and DIY projects.
After having some time off from my day job for the past week, it helped reset my mind and what I want 2019 to look like.
Spend less time on Instagram, more time in this space. I have fun ideas for things I would like to accomplish in this space, but I spend to much time scrolling through my feed.
Learn photography. I bought myself a new camera and a few “photography for beginner” type books. I enjoy taking photos on my iPhone, so why not take it a step further and learn how a camera works?
I want to expand this little blog. Take it out of just fashion territory. I want to start including home decor, tips and tricks and maybe even a little DIY. Get those power drills ready.
Spend more time with Kris and my dogs, away from the phone. I live right by the beach, why aren’t my dogs there more?! (besides the fact that Daisy is not a fan.)
And lastly, I want to do more travel. Weekend getaways to see friends, weekend getaways camping with Kris and the dogs and definitely need at least one international trip. We’ve been talking Norway to visit Kris’ cousin.
What about you you all?! Did 2018 treat you well? Any fun resolutions for 2019?
See you next year!
